Does the expression « new media » still have a meaning? Some twenty years ago, it referred to online media that were beginning to emerge and trying to break in the traditional media scene.
Ever since the social media channels emerged, media are undergoing constant mutation. The relationship between the consumer and information has changed. The reader no longer needs media to access this knowledge.
Media should henceforth adapt to these technical and philosophical revolutions. They should redefine their function and role, their relationship with the information as well as their relationship with their readers.
